FAQs
What is Lakes Region Leagues (LRL)?
Lakes Region Leagues is a recreational volleyball league designed for players of all skill levels. We provide an organized, fun, and competitive atmosphere for teams to enjoy the game while fostering community engagement.
How long is the season?
Our regular season typically lasts 7 weeks, with the 8th week dedicated to playoffs and championships.
Do you offer refunds?
Registration fees are non-refundable, except in cases where LRL cancels the season. If a player is injured before the season starts, they may request a partial refund, subject to approval.
How many players can be on a team?
Teams typically consist of 6-10 players, with at least 4 players required to start a game. Co-ed teams must have at least one female/male on the court at all times.
Can we bring spectators?
Yes! Friends and family are welcome to come watch and support. However, all spectators must follow venue rules and respect the teams playing.
What happens in case of bad weather?
If outdoor games are canceled due to weather, we will notify teams as early as possible and attempt to reschedule. If a game cannot be rescheduled, the league will determine how to handle standings accordingly.
Where are the games played?
Our summer games are hosted at Leavitt Park in Laconia NH. We are currently working on securing indoor venues for fall and winter leagues.
How much does it cost to participate?
Fees vary based on the season and venue costs. The most up-to-date pricing can be found on our website or by contacting us directly.
What types of leagues do you offer?
We currently offer outdoor volleyball leagues in the summer and are exploring options for fall/winter indoor leagues. Depending on demand, we may expand to other sports in the future.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept online payments via Venmo, credit/debit cards, etc. Full payment is required to secure your spot.
Can I sponsor the league?
Yes! We offer sponsorship opportunities for local businesses looking to gain exposure while supporting community sports. Contact us for more details.
Are you looking for referees or volunteers?
Yes! We rely on volunteers to help with officiating and managing the league. In exchange for refereeing, we offer credit toward a future season. If you're interested in getting involved, please contact us!
What are the match rules?
Matches are played as a best-of-5 series (first to 25 points, win by 2). Rules follow standard volleyball regulations with minor modifications for recreational play.
What happens if my team can’t make a game?
If a team is unable to play, they must notify the league at least 24 hours in advance to avoid a forfeit. Teams that forfeit multiple times may face penalties, including disqualification.
Do I need to bring my own volleyball?
LRL provides official game balls, but teams are welcome to bring their own for warm-ups.
What should I wear?
Players should wear athletic clothing and non-marking sneakers. Outdoor players may wear cleats, but metal spikes are prohibited.
